What is the difference between Blocked and Non-Blocked OPE?
Blocked OPE is created by two films that stick to each other on top of the blown film line. The film is symmetrical.
It contains low SIT resins to achieve better adhesion performance compared to Non-Blocked OPE. Optical performance is better than Non-Blocked OPE. It has better tear resistance in TD compared to Non-Blocked OPE.
Non-Blocked OPE is a separated version of Blocked film without extra adhesive between layers and the film is wound asymmetrically on two winders.
Unlike Blocked OPE, Non-Blocked OPE does not contain low SIT resin. It contains high-density material in the adhesion layer.
Non-Blocked OPE is more hazy compared to Blocked OPE.
Which films can be used for laminating with OPE?
PFL7PL and PFL8EKY-PL are designed to be laminated with OPE film.
Both films show very good LOW SIT performance.
PFL8EKY-PL is enhanced for easy tear performance in both directions.
